Berk's Electrical & Lighting

I called Berk's about installing two programmable light switches in our house for our front porch light and out Christmas tree outlets. They went out of their way to get to us a few days earlier than we anticipated and showed up ready to go. We were the last job of the day for Hugo, who was still energetic, friendly, and efficient at 4 pm! He installed the switches, made sure they were programmed the way we wanted, and was super nice to our little 15-year-old cockerpoo. The price was very good for the work done. We are very happy with Berk's and will use them again if we need electrical work in the future.

Rip off and overpriced. They charge way too much and pay way too little for their employees. Spoke to someone in the office named Rael, who seemed like he have no idea what he is talking about. I'd ask in the east and he would answer me in the west. Stay away from this Poorly managed and rip off of a company, and just know there are way better companies with better staff and fair prices

I recently started using Berk's Electrical to upgrade our house to meet current electrical building codes. I talked on the telephone about the project with the owner Jeff and staff. The work was performed by Nabil. Berk's Electrical was an excellent company to work with and I was very satisfied with Nabil's work product and the company's professionalism.

Very friendly scheduling staff. Received a return call within ten minutes, an appointment the next day. The services provided were exceptional. The electrician, Michael, diagnosed the problems immediately. He gave a fair quote, did the work quickly, was very neat/clean. Not only was he knowledgeable and professional, he was also kind, joyful, such a positive attitude! Thanks for a great job!

Frontier told us we needed a new phone/internet CAT 5 cable run inside our home. We contacted Berk's and scheduled a diagnostic assessment. Turned out it is a Frontier problem and no CAT 5 cable would work with their DSL router connection. Berk's office staff and technicians were A+. Berk's was fast and efficient. The electrician was knowledgeable able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. I made a claim to our home warranty company and the two electricians sent out were not nearly as good. The claim was wrongfully denied based on the other companies diagnosis but I am happy to have had Berk do the work. I feel good that the work was done properly and by rightfully high rated company. I recommend Berk!

Called out company to get an estimate for replacing outlets throughout house, upgrade breaker panel, install sub panel in garage, and suggestions for recessed lighting. Explained that house was in escrow but that I was buying house as is so no need for a report, only an estimate. Tech came out and did what they needed to do then told me that the price was $270. Asked why they are charging for an estimate and was told that they are not charged or the estimate but for the inspection. Explained issue to dispatch lady who insisted that the tech was sent out for a home inspection.

This was a surprise since I told them I needed an estimate for repairs not a home inspection. I do no recommend this company since it seems they will nickel and dime you to death. I've never heard of a residential service company that charges to produce an estimate to perform work.

Two electricians, Kyle and Nicholas, showed up right on time. They were polite, efficient, and friendly. They listened really well to my explanation of what was going on, checked everything out, and had the problem fixed in under 45 minutes. We've called Berk's for years now when we have the occasional electrical problem, and they've always been terrific. Happy to report they remain as great as ever.

Berks Electrical and Lighting were referred to me by my neighbor as I needed some new lighting and repairs to some outlets in our bathroom and backyard. The owner personally came out to write up the estimate and gave us some great ideas on how to enhance our lighting. While he was here estimating he repaired our outlet problem for free! When their installation team came out to do the lighting work they put plastic over the furniture and floors and the workman were polite and punctual, not to mention that the work was flawless.

I can't say enough good things about Berks Electrical and Lighting their work ethics are incredible, their workmanship fantastic, and I do not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for an electrician who gets it right the first time!
