Critical: Value First, I must admit that the technician was very polite, thorough, and professional. Due to a mislabeled breaker panel and a breaker that did not appear tripped, all he had to do was reset a breaker. The cost? $215. Outrageous Service: General repairs

Griffin electric was easy to get ahold of for a free evaluation and to sign our contract once we agreed to the work. However, we had a very hard time getting ahold of these guys after we signed our contract and paid our deposit. It took a long time to get work scheduled. Our house was left dirty after the electrician finished. And when we questioned the technician as to why he left it such a mess he "forgot the plastic" and "wiped down the counters when he was done".

We have had windows and new insulation put in by other companies that did not require a deposit, were very on top of communication, and our house was left spotless so I really do feel it's acceptable to be upset. We also called to let Griffin electric know our issues and were told we would receive something from them in the mail, and that never happened. Would not recommend.

After a couple of visits from Griffin staff we were still dealing with our apparent house gremlin, which was causing lights to flicker & outlets to power off consistently. Yesterday we had a visit from Paul & James who indicated that they were not leaving until there was an acceptable solution in place. Paul is clearly top-of-class in his ability, as he diagnosed the issue in short term, then offered both a short-term solution and a long-term recommendation.

Both gentlemen couldn't have been more communicative & understanding, particularly since this issue had already required multiple visits. Our frustration level had been high but that was alleviated by the professionalism demonstrated by both Paul & James. The work was done in a timely manner thankfully & the company made a great customer-service decision to boot regarding the invoice for services rendered.

As a senior couple working on a fixed income, that gesture was greatly appreciated. Suffice it to say we are very happy with how everything was handled yesterday, the result being that Griffin Electric now has two full-time advocates as customers. We look forward to asking specifically for Paul when we are able to tackle the long term recommendation in the Springtime. Thanks very much to Paul & James, as well as the young lady who answers phones at the office, and to Griffin Electric!

Had a late night Friday situation where half the master bedroom outlets stopped working after we unplugged a surge protector. Griffin Electric was able to send someone over first thing Saturday morning. He was able to figure out the the cause and replace the problematic outlet in a timely manner and no time was wasted. I highly recommend them!

Amazing. I had an electrical work wish list which included garage wiring and lighting, garage outlet, outdoor patio outlet, doorbell, and bathroom light fixture installation.in my old house. I communicated with Elisa, Dispatch Supervisor, electrician came and reviewed the work needed, Elisa created a contract, I copied and signed it and delivered it, work was scheduled for today, and within one week it is completed!

My electrician, Nhia, was outstanding.prompt, thorough, efficient, knowledgeable, skilled, friendly and personable, worked non-stop, and ever so patient with my questions.included me on decision making. I can't express enough my gratitude. I no longer have to do laundry by flashlight. I have a new working doorbell. I love the bathroom fixture, and the outdoor outlet. Wow. Just wow. Thank you so much, Nhia, and Griffin Electric! I am so happy with this work.

Brandon has worked on three projects at our house, replacing old bathroom lights/fans, kitchen and dining room lights and installing dimmer switches. Each time, he has been professional, cheerful and efficient! We just had him consult with us about lighting possibilities in our living room and garage, and he was patient with our questions and knowledgeable about the many options available. We look forward to working more with Brandon and Griffin Electric!

I used Griffin once before and was very happy. This time I needed an existing 220 line split into two 110's. A simple job requiring 2.5 hours of labor, two circuit breakers to change the 220 into two 110 lines, about 10 feet of romex, and the parts to create an outlet. I was quoted approximately $1400 for the job! I called to question it, but was told the owner was out sick and only he could adjust the quote.

I waited about a week and still no owner. Sadly, I boxed myself in, because of scheduling and had to have Griffin do the work for the $1400. Although I asked, I never heard from the owner. I know I chose to have them do the work, even though the bill seemed incredibly high. I jammed myself into a corner. My real complaint is that no one responded to what should have been a simple adjustment. They got my money, but lost my business.

I called this company up after hours left a message with there answering service said they would return my call the next day. Well they never called so i thought maybe the message did not get to them gave them the benefit of the dought. I called them at 11:00 the next day the lady that answered the phone said she got my message but was scheduling jobs at the moment and would call me back and she was very rude. she never called me back so i called again at 3:30 to let her know to take me off the list because of very poor customer service but nobody answered but i did leave a message. 3 day's later i get a call from her she said i know it has been a few day's but wanted see if i still needed work apparently she dose not listen to messages either.

I then went on very nicely to tell her no and why and she was very rude again and slammed the phone down on me for no reason. very piss poor service! these are the kind of companies that will survive in these times because of covid everybody is slammed with work! But when the economy takes a hit and it will at some point these kind of companies will be out of business! she needs to be fired with that attitude!

The team at Griffin Electric are professionals. I called after hours, the receptionist took detailed notes to my needs. Leslie called first thing in the morning and dispatched Brandon to my location. Brandon was thorough in explaining what he was working on, what was needed moving forward, and his recommendations. He is a PRO! Thank you to the whole team.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the kind of job they do. What I do know is that I don't want to die because their employees don't wear masks in public. On 9/8/2020 and AGAIN! on 9/10/2020 I was at the 7-11 on Madison & Auburn and two Griffin employees went inside. One was wearing a mask but the other, older guy was not. If they care so little about the health of others I will never use them.

We had excellent service from Griffin Electric. We had a couple of outlets at our commercial building that needed attention. They came quickly to repair them and checked out our entire electrical system to ensure that everything was safe. We were so pleased that we had them change over all our electricity-sucking outdoor lights to efficient LED lights with a photocell to turn them on and off when they are needed. Thanks Griffin Electric for your excellent service and attention. We will definitely call you if we need anything else electrical done.

AMENDED REVIEW, replaced failed ballast in fluorescent fixture. Charged $310.00. Repair lasted 2 weeks approximately. I have emailed them twice requesting refund, they ignore me completely. Had also promised a quote on replacing three florescent fixtures with LED lights, never heard from them. We did finally make contact. They were very apologetic, explained turnover difficulties in the office. Emails got lost.

When they did surface, the owner said send these people a complete refund this is not the way we do business. Received the check and apologies, and since everybody deserves a second chance we would contact him again when the need arises.

Our 20 year old house is beginning to have some electrical aches and pains. Griffin was recommended to us by a friend and we have been so happy to have found them - reliable, qualified and quick to respond. They are permanently in my contact list. Nhia was our most recent technician but everyone has been great.

After a good experience with a hot tub electrical hookup in February, I had a sizzling kitchen light switch and flickering fixture that developed suddenly. When I called their office, they fit me in quickly to their schedule that very day when they heard 'sizzling noise'- I think an electrician was there within two hours. Same guy as the spa hookup, very professional and helpful both times. Would definitely use these guys again.

Great job by Brandon! I live in an old quirky house. Brandon came out promptly, wired a new outlet for the dishwasher and checked other multiple issues as requested, all for a reasonable price. In addition, I'm the "do it yourselfer" in our family (middle-aged female). Brandon realized this, acknowledged it without prompting, and then explained things to me like a peer. I really appreciated it and in the future when I want professional, precise and respectful electrical work done on my house, I know exactly who I will be calling.

Paul and Nhia came this morning to give me a quote for some electrical work on our home. They were prompt and professional. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions. They also wore masks without being asked. I really appreciated that since I have some health issues. I would highly recommend them!

I know enough about wiring and switches to get myself zapped big time. I bought several smart switches and wanted to install them. After what seemed like hours on youtube trying to figure out all the wires coming out of my light fixture I called Griffin on a recommendation of a friend. Paul Fallgreen came out quickly, and on time. I explained my issue and and asked a ton of questions.

He showed me that I had the wrong switches for where I wanted to put them, but he did wire one up on a circuit that would work for my switch. He then showed me how to wire up 3 pole switches for when I got them. He was funny and very informative. I never felt that I was being talked down to at all. I rather enjoyed his visit. Now Paul could have installed the switch and left, but he really took the time to help me out and saved me a lot of money.

He only charged me the minimum service call and was on his way. I am very happy with his service and would highly recommend them. PS at time of this review thanks to Pauls advise my house is all wired up with smart switches and the ladies in my house can now turn on lights before they get home at night.

I live in an old house that has required a lot of work. Paul has provided service for me on several occasions. He has solved many problems in a cheerful and expert manner. I am so grateful for his expertise. Excellent, service!

Prompt, professional, and kind. Fixed my home electrical problem right away, and with time to spare, fixed two other less pressing issues to fill in the rest of the hour. Will call them again.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Worst experience I could ask for quoted at 330 and ended up paying 1100 for a breaker. Please do not use this company at they are very unclear about the cost and services. They squeeze you for your hard earned money

Griffin Electric has helped me three times now: 1. Replaced ballast in kitchen lighting when selling home. 2. Installed four new ceiling fans in new home. 3. Replaced 12 LED-compatible dimmer switches throughout new home. The ones that came with the house caused LED dimmable bulbs to flicker badly. The new ones ( Lutron Skylark) do not flicker. The dimming can be adjusted on the switch to whatever level of lowest light you desire. Paul was my tech for all the work done at the new house. Paul is very skilled at what he does. He took the time to make sure that the switches worked correctly and that the 3-way circuits were wired properly.

Had a wiring issue in an older rental that I needed help with. I was just installing a ceiling fan, which I have done several times before, but something wasn't right. Pull the switch cover off and found bare metal wires that I had no idea what they were, but thought they could be a hazard. Called Griffin, based on their great reviews, and they came out quickly, fixed everything and offered a fair price. Sometimes it pays to hire a pro!

Our house needed a couple of "small" things done but still had to be taken seriously: a ceiling light that needed replacing but had been installed without a box, a bare but taped wire hanging down into our garage that we didn't know the status of, installation of a GFI in the garage and maintenance on an exterior GFI in the garden. Ron showed up on time with a smile and focus and jumped right in.

Before we knew it he had the ceiling light box and fixture installed properly, identified the hanging wire as LIVE, then used it to install the garage GFI. He always kept us apprised of how much time he was taking and what our cost was at each juncture and what it would be if it took more than an hour. He then got down on the ground in the garden to get that GFI back in working order and when he soon finished asked if we needed anything else.

All I can say is "wow" we weren't expecting these tasks to go so smoothly, successfully and cost effectively. Ron is now our "go to" electrician. What an unexpected pleasure!

Very Professional, worked efficiently and he worked more quickly than I had expected. Fixed multiple items. On one outlet not working, he showed me how to press the breaker button, which restored it rather than needing to replace it. I will definitely want to call them again for any future issues.

The company that I work for had our building's primary breaker fail. This occurred on a Sunday afternoon. By Tuesday morning, we were open for business again. Griffin sent people on Sunday night to diagnose the issue. Griffin corrdinated SMUD, got permits on Monday morning and managed to get us a county inspector same day. They performed the removal of the breaker and found us a "loaner breaker" that allowed us to get power restored on Monday night while our permanent breaker was shipped. Griffin then once again swapped the "loaner" breaker with our permanent breaker. If I could give Griffin six stars, I would. If you are in a pinch for time or have a high stakes job, I recommend Griffin Electric.

I used my Smud Homepower service to hire this electrical company to fix a couple of issues at my home. I was so amazed with the two electricians they sent out! They were extremely friendly, professional and performed the work so quickly and efficiently, it really blew me away! I have had other electricians come do work for me that were nothing compared to these guys! I highly recommend them!
