It was founded in 1965 by Nino Colasacco as an electrical contractor business in a very small building in Newton Upper Falls, just west of Boston, MA. In the early 1970's, he put some lighting fixtures on the ceiling so that his customers could see the lights before they bought them and along with that giving the customers personalized family attention. In the years to follow Newton Electric, the business and the building expanded.
