Nipper Electric has a used car salesman providing professional electrical estimates and completing electrical work. He is not an Electrician. Poor management, poorly run business that does not include Trey Nipper. Manager is a bully - again, NOT an Electrician but completing PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICAL WORK. Beware!

Nipper Electric installed a whole home standby generator for me. They listened to my needs and concerns and addressed everything. They coordinated permits & inspections with the city. Our power had to be shut down for several hours and they hooked up my portable generator so I could still function while the power was down. They truly provided a turnkey installation. Had a simple electrical job and the lady who picked up the phone was extremely nice and worked with us diligently to get us on schedule. Price was also good. The electrician who came to our house was an older gentleman who refused to take off the shoe or wear a shoe cover( it is our tradition to not walk inside of house with shoes and did not want our carpet to get dirty ).
He did not oblige and this turned us off. Then he asked for us to go up and down the stairs to check the trip on our fuse with every light. Hence had an unpleasant experience. I am sorry to say that I would not be doing business with them again in future

From the get go everything involving Nipper was amazing. We needed a 240 line/outlet installed on our panel for an EV charger, as well as getting a manual transfer switch installed for a generator. Setting up a consultation was super easy. Matt the technician that came out was great. I told him what needed to be done, he took a look at my panel and talked me through everything that needed to be done (to where a non-electrician could understand it).
I had a couple of options for pricing and such so Matt sent me some quotes and we scheduled the appointment. The technician (Austin) was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained the work to be performed, asked me my preferences on applicable items and offered his own suggestions as well. The other associate (Glenn) was polite and helpful. They performed all work requested and I am very happy with the results. They cleaned up before they left. Great experience with Nipper Electric. Elizabeth worked with me to get a technician out the same day with some back up dates, really easy to communicate with. Austin was my technician and helped troubleshoot and replace an old breaker that was causing outlets to go out and couldn't trip back on. Also great to support companies that hire Vets.

Rocky came out to rewire our dishwasher. He was able to get us back up and running in about an hour. He was friendly and professional, and everything was clearly explained with a full cost estimate before he started working. Couldn't be happier with the the whole experience! We had some work done with Nipper Electric- they installed new outlets for our upstairs that kept tripping and revamped our box. The technician was on time, professional, and efficient. He told us he would be back to install an outdoor outlet but he ghosted us. We had given up on him until Austin called us to rectify the situation. He came out and installed the outlet in a timely and professional manor and stated the previous employee no longer worked for them and apologized for the inconvenience.
We appreciate the honesty and work done to ensure the job was complete. He even looked at the work done previously to ensure it was all up to par. Which it was. Great company and would use again and definitely recommend!

Terrible follow up across the board. 3 weeks to get an hour and a half job completed. I, yes I had to make 7 follow up calls to get service back to complete job. No contact with management or ownership after repeated requests to have them contact me to discuss my displeasure on how my project ( annual home generator service ) was handled. Will never offer them up as an option for home electrical service.

Definitely stay away! Trey, the owner, is dishonest and unethical. After paying for work and signing a contract, he just decided that they were not going to do the work. They left me without lights, light. switches and with wires hanging out of my walls and ceilings. After pulling our older wires out he didn't put new wires in, leaving me and my kids with rooms with no lights at all.
His workers said he underbid the job and was losing money so he decided he was just going to quit in the middle of the job. He gave a sob story about struggling to pay his guys. I foolishly paid him because I felt bad. Stealing my money was how he repaid me. See the below picture of what he texted me when I asked him to finish the work. I still find it shocking that someone could do this to a single mom with three kids. I now have to pay another electrician thousands to finish what he was already paid to do. Stay as far away as possible.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We did an entire electrical rewire of our 100 year old home with Nipper. Everything started out great. They gave us a quick turnaround on an estimate and while they weren't the lowest price their price was fair. They showed up when they said they would and we really liked all their workers. Unfortunately, 3 out of our 5. main workers ended up quitting.
We were asked to pay them the remaining balance of the work because they needed the money. We understand how hard it is in the current climate to keep good workers. We didn't hold losing workers against them. The problem is that they then totally stopped showing up. They said they were hiring more people etc and would.

Job consisted of upgrading to 400 amp service (some issues with Dominion on this part of it), whole house generator, and extra circuits run to home office. Zack and Lee were terrific! I had them do some working and install recess lighting throughout my downstairs. They were up front about everything (price, looks, etc), always asked my opinion or permission before doing something, and were so pleasant to have around. Both men were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They kept me fully informed throughout the entire project.
When they were done, they taught me how to use and maneuver the fixtures if I should ever needed to take them down. I am beyond satisfied with the final product and will be calling them again if I need anymore work done.

Awesome. Awesome people. Awesome service. Thank you to Matt and his thoroughness. This company from start to finish was 100 percent professional. We had three large ceiling fans that needed installation and removing the old (poorly rigged) fans was a project. This is where you use that phrase, there's no project to big for Matt! He expertly installed all three fans, and more importantly ensured the fans were secure and safe in the ceilings. You get what you pay for, and this was worth every penny. I will only use Nipper for my electrical needs. Well done.

When I initially saw the reviews for Nipper, I thought it had to be fake because they were all positive. We called for an issue my husband just couldn't figure out. My husband can do a lot of electrical work but after days of trying to figure out what particular plug was causing our breaker to trip, he finally gave up. We called these guys and they were able to come out the next day. On time and super friendly. Rocky figured it out and got it fixed! Fair price and just overall felt really good about them. Issue fixed! Call these guys!

Trey Nipper and his team installed led recessed lighting into my home. They removed an old fluorescent light and installed the new lighting without access to an attic. Also added 4 new lights and installed new switches. What I like most about Nipper electric is there friendly staff, pricing, and how clean they left the house. They did this project with minimal dry wall repair needed. If you have been thinking about getting recessed lighting hire Nipper Electric!

While any electrician is going to be expensive, it's important to find one that will wear shoe covers, send a text message with the photo of the technician, and discuss all the options. A-OK is an appropriate rating. Nipper Electrical sent a master electrician and a journeyman (I assume?) to repair a breaker fuse that would trip. The two electricians found the problem, a bad light switch to the kitchen lights and replaced the light switch. Problem solved, kudos. The A-Ok part is the pricing: the cost to find, fix the problem was on par with what I pay my lawyer (when extrapolated). Albeit, my lawyer would not be able to repair a light switch, but hey.
I was also offered an escalating service, the premium service was roughly $1100. which would guarantee their service/components for the life (if memory serves). If money is not a concern these guys do a terrific job. Again, the two electricians they sent to my house were first rate, professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Nipper- no need to call me, tx.

I cannot say enough about the guys at Nipper. Trey and his crew are so kind, responsive, and always there to help. We have called them on 3 separate occasions where our house was in electrical trouble and each time Nipper came out in a hurry to save the day. Their work is top quality and they will offer less expensive options to fix things a better way.

Trey and team were great to work with. Installed outlet in preparation of a new garage door going in mid July as well solved our porch light issue. Our tech, Rocky was friendly and quick with the process. We had an issue with porch light a few weeks later and Trey quickly responded to our concern immediately with Rocky coming back out to finally figure out the issue the next day first thing in the morning! Excellent customer service, well spoken and knowledgeable regarding aluminum wiring. We required a home inspection of the panel box, some outlets and general electrical condition of our home. I emailed Nipper Electric to get a quote to install a light in my backyard where there was absolutely no light at all. Very promptly I received a message back from Trey, asking exactly what I wanted, where and the purpose of the lighting. He suggested a floodlight due to the location and because of the wiring of the house. A week later I had light!

Contacted Nipper on Monday concerning work needing to be completed before selling my home. I spoke with Jay Nipper over the phone about ensuring all needs were met to ensure closing.
