When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb in 1879, 20-year-old Aaron Dahlberg was living with his family in the Trade Lake Wisconsin area. At the age of 25, Aaron built a dam near Round Lake to do custom sawing, planing and feed grinding. For many years, this dam supplied what was necessary for continued settlement in the area.

Our Residential Rates have a variety of options to meet your needs and could end up saving you money on your electric service. Every business needs dependable electricity in order to carry out day to day affairs, at a competitive rate.
The Residential Service Rate is designed as NWE's "basic" residential rate for customers who live in town. It is available to all urban residential single-phase customers for ordinary household purposes. Residential Customers are billed an energy charge based on their kilowatt hour usage (kWh) in a billing period plus a monthly customer charge.
The General Service Rate is designed as NWE's "basic" commercial rate. It is available to all commercial, institutional, government, and industrial customers who's Maximum Measured Demand does not exceed 20 kW for three or more months in a consecutive 12-month period. This rate is available for customers who desire single phase or three-phase service.

If you call in an outage you are put on hold for 15 minutes and then get to speak with a person in the call center who has no clue what the problem is. Why don't they just put outage info on their website? Or send out a text?. Unfortunately they have a monopoly.

They are not consistent with how they do things. I could call and put it in my old man's name no problem. but God forbidden if I needed to take it out of his name. he's in jail, so I was gonna do it for him. They were rude, impatient, and COMPLETELY unwilling to help. We payed the electric for our rent. we moved out and the home owner never paid the bill and keeps racking it up with no intentions on paying. Just VERY VERY unprofessional.

Feb 17th 2020 6:16 pm, electricity out again at cabin! Called 6 times. busy sound then hangs up! No recordings still. HELLO. SHOULD WE STAY OR SHOULD WE GO? May 19th 2019 3:18 p.m.electricity out. called 3 different posted phone numbers too see what the wait is. all lines were busy. No recording, can't leave a message. Hello, how can we get notifications? Need to know, if we should stay at cabin, or head home.

Im a new customer.almost. I have had the pleasure to speak with Pete to establish a new account. Were building in NW Wisconsin. He was great to talk to and got us setup to give an estimate of new service to our cabin we are building. A breath of fresh air in this world of no customer service! I will gladly refer the company!
