My wife and I have used serval electrical companies in the Grand Rapids area over the last couple years and VerPlank Electric was one of the best we've had to date. They were responsive to my initial request, on time (early) when scheduled for installation, friendly, and the pricing was extremely fair. Will certainly be using them for future projects!

Emailed a request to have a light fixture installed on our front porch. Received a phone call the next morning and a worker came a few hours later and installed the light. Wow, quick service! Editing 12/21/21. Tried mailing in payment and guess what! Postal Office returned our envelope marked 12/16/2021 "RETURN TO SENDER NO MAIL RECEPTACLE UNABLE TO FORWARD". How are we to pay, and no I am not going through the Internet to pay our bill! Hello? I guess you can come to our home and pick up payment. Called because the breaker box was not working.

They arrived, flipped a switch. They were at our home less than 5 minutes and charged $150.00! Ridiculous price! Will never call them again. Seriously less than 5 minutes! Merry Greedy Christmas!

I was trying to hire an electrician to replace my old ac disconnect and generator cord with a new one, and it is a lot harder than I thought. Many vendors I called don't reply to phone calls, and some gave an absurd high quote. David replied to emails very fast and offered the best price. The electrician, Steve, is very professional and patient. I could not be happier.

I called David to install electrical wiring and box for a Hot Tub I purchased in January of 2021, David dispatched a electrician and helper in May time from due to I was told Hot Tub would be delivered in June. They did a very clean installation of the wiring from inside the house out to where the hot tub would be placed. All that was left to do was once the hot tub was delivered was to run from box to hot tub.

I found out the hot tub came in 2 day's before I was to leave for 2 weeks on a business trip out of the country. I called Verplanks office and the lady that answered was for cooperative in trying to schedule the remaining install before I left. They got the installation complete. Verplank does high quality work and will do it correctly and cleanly to look good. I highly recommend them for any electrical needs.

Working with VerPlank was a great experience. The person who answered the phone listened to my issue and recommended Matt because he has a lot of experience with older homes. I received a confirmation call the day before the appointment, Matt arrived on-time and diagnosed the problem within 30 minutes and fixed it in under 2 hours. He had a great attitude and was pleasant to interact with.

At one point he even said something like, "if this isn't the problem, don't worry, we'll figure it out." As a contrast, two weeks earlier we had a different electric company come out and their 2 guys spent almost 3 hours and couldn't figure out what was wrong, told us we'd probably need to rewire and they'd send a different person out to estimate that. Thankfully, they were slow to schedule the follow up so after reading reviews of VerPlank, I gave them a call and he fixed the problem very quickly. I highly recommend VerPlank!

A representative of VerPlank came to my newly purchased home to evaluate the electrical system. The home was built in 1910 and has a mixture of knob and tube, cloth Romex and modern Romex. I had some concerns about the older wiring in the house and was prepared to start chopping into walls and ceilings to remedy it, if necessary. After going through the entire house and listening to my concerns, he pulled me out of my doom and gloom mindset and offered potential solutions that he would preform if it was his own home.

He also told me how we could consolidate our future electrical projects so that I could get the most out of my money when I do have them come out to make some changes/upgrades. I'm going to start creating a to-do list after I've lived in the house for a bit and when I'm ready I'll be more than happy to give VerPlank my business, as they lifted a potentially very expensive weight off my shoulders with their free evaluation.

I have used a number of electricians during our 23 years in our home, and it can be challenging to find electricians who are interested in the smaller jobs. They did high quality work, and everything was professional. They surprised and delighted me with a very clever installation of the ceiling fan control right next to its switch, where you might have a dimmer in a light switch. The price was a good value. I will use them again, and couldn't be happier with the job.

We asked VerPlank Electric to install a hookup for a portable generator as well as a whole house power surge protector. The project was reasonably priced, and the workers were friendly, knowledgeable, on-time, and efficient. They answered all of our questions. We would definitely hire them again and recommend this company to our friends.

I am new to the Grand Rapids area and moved into my home in the summer of 2019. I had Dave VerPlank and Matt one of his men come out to run 80 amps of service and a few other small jobs. They both arrived on time and did the work professionally and timely. They did such a good job I had Matt come back and install some external motion lights and swap out a few fixtures that needed an upgrade.

I was able to purchase everything through VerPlank Electric and the job was completed on time and they have provided me a great value. The greatest thing about VerPlank Electric is that they treat you like you are part of their family and do everything possible, time wise, to get your situation resolved as quickly as possible.
