We have had fiber internet service for years. First time to need service. The tech did a great job, got us back up and running. Thanks to Cody, fellow vet and good tech.

We lived in our home for over 20 years without any high-speed Internet service available to us. We are ecstatic that Midwest energy and communications brought us the Internet service and made us feel like we were in the 21st century! THANK YOU!

They offer high speed internet through their fiber service. Its fast and reliable. Not much of a choice when it comes to electricity service for the area. We don't use their propane service. Now why 2 stars you ask. They recently clear cut all our 20+ year old trees (26 of them!) under their power lines. The contracted removal service provided us less than 1 day notice. MEC provided no email or verbal or US mail notification this was happening. Calls to the "director of tree service" went unanswered.

They also did not offer to subsidize stump removal or replanting of trees that would meet their guidelines. Its not like I could find another electrical provider. Just sad sad sad. Oh but wait.you can pay $120K to get the lines buried!

Good price and awesome speed for internet. Does not work as well with the home based computer phones for work. Avaya system as and example. Will drop calls ten times a day. They use the same Avaya system and it drops their home based techs and customer service on calls also. Switched to Comcast and it may be a slower upload but no dropped calls. For Electric they are 5 star. Just wish the internet had worked perfectly for work.

They decided to put up new poles in 40 degree temperature. Some thing went wrong and we were out of power after 10pm. It got so cold with a 36 F night time temp I had to bring my animals out to my car to keep warm for 1.2 hours. This year they decided to raise our internet cost up 30% promising a double speed from 50 to 100Mbps. I got the bill for extra speed, but it never came. I am still getting the same speed. Still at 50mbps.
